END OF THE SEMESTER - NOT THE END OF ILLUSTRATION
For First and Second Years, this marks the end of Semester 2 — and the beginning of an 18-week break (that’s 126 days or 3,024 hours) before you return in September. At the end of that wait lies progression to the next year of your degree. But here’s the blunt truth: If you spend that time doing nothing related to illustration — no drawing, no thinking, no looking, no learning — you will come back in September and spend the entire first semester just getting back to where you are now. That’s half an academic year, wasted on a costly recap. Don’t let that happen. Keep your eyes peeled for a new Blackboard page which we're in the process of putting together and which will contain suggestions and examples of work for how you can (and should) turn your summer into a period of practice and development. |

NEW(ish) submission requirement

You've all already done this last semester but here's a reminder of this new(ish) addition to submission process.
Starting from this academic year, the University mandates that a record of all submission work must be maintained for a period of five years. While this requirement is straightforward for traditional essay submissions, it presents a challenge for projects involving various web pages. Henceforth, you will need to submit a PDF version of each of your project webpages. Instructions for this can be found on the right. To clarify, your module submission will consist of the following: 1. A single submission PDF, which includes a self-reflection. This document is to be submitted to Turnitin and should contain the link to your submission webpage. 2. PDFs of your webpages, submitted to your personal folder (links can be found in the Padlet to the right). COMPLETE SUBMISSION DETAILS WILL BE WITH YOU SOON |

Between you all, you've generated some fantastic work — but more importantly, you’ve grown in skill, confidence, and understanding through the process of making.
It would be impossible to capture all the exciting, significant, and gorgeous work that’s been produced over the past few months, but here’s a small glimpse into what’s been happening. And remember if you've touched upon skills you'd like to improve or want to sharpen others - take ownership of that. Your skills belong to you and their growth and maintenance is your responsibility.
